Snoring is due to the excessive vibrations at the back of the nose and throat due to involuntary movements of soft tissues. You only need to see a medical specialist if there is a serious problem other than disturbing your partner. However, a more serious problem related to snoring can occur if soft tissues clog the airways while you are sleeping.
